Step 1: Cyano Pink Spicule Serum

The five products are designed to be layered together in this sequence. There is no stated conflict between products inside the set.

Products to avoid on Cyano Spicule nights

The main compatibility concern is the Cyano Pink Spicule Serum, because micro-spicules can increase skin sensitivity and the penetration of products layered afterward.

Avoid using it in the same evening routine as:

• Retinol, retinal or prescription tretinoin
• Strong AHA, BHA or PHA exfoliants
• Chemical peels
• Facial scrubs or exfoliating brushes
• Benzoyl peroxide or strong prescription acne treatments unless approved by a dermatologist
• Dermarolling, microneedling or another spicule treatment
  

These products are not necessarily chemically incompatible, but combining them may substantially increase irritation. Use them on alternate nights. Dermatologist-informed spicule guidance recommends starting once or twice weekly and separating spicules from strong retinoids and exfoliating acids.

Patch-test the products separately. Do not introduce all five on the same day. Add one product every few days so the cause can be identified if irritation occurs. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends testing new skincare on a small area for seven to ten days before widespread use.

Avoid damaged skin. Do not use the Spicule Serum over sunburn, open blemishes, cuts, eczema or rosacea flares, or immediately after waxing, shaving, peels, lasers or microneedling.

Protect the eye area. Do not apply the Cyano Serum directly to the eyelids, lash line or lips. Keep the Picotonic Ampoule and cream out of the eyes. Place eye patches slightly below the lower lashes.

Check sensitivities. Several formulas list sweet-almond fruit extract. The Picotonic Ampoule and eye patches also list fragrance. Anyone with known fragrance, botanical or almond sensitivity should inspect the packaging carefully and patch-test before use.
